Mill Rythe Holiday Village is a fantastic place to visit at any time of the year, but during our extended Festive Season it’s even more special!

We’ve got a superb selection of entertainment from Scrooge to Santa, traditional carols to rocking cabaret, there’s even our very own Pantomime, (oh yes there is!), a brand new production of Jack and the Beanstalk, which we’re sure will prove to be a huge hit amongst our guests.

There’s food galore, breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included on these full board breaks. We’ve got mulled wine, flying reindeer and even snow in the ballroom! Top this off with our Christmas Spectacular Show which keeps getting bigger and better and this fabulous festive feast of a break will leave you full of seasonal cheer.

As well as all the fantastic things that take place on site at Mill Rythe it is in the perfect location for you to finished off your Christmas Shopping.

Within easy reach of Portsmouth, Chichester and Southampton, it makes for a fabulous base to discover the festive markets, carol concerts and huge shopping centres that are nearby.

Southampton has some fantastic shopping centres and retail parks, but the centre piece of the festive shopping experience is the traditional German market that will be held until 23 December at Above Bar Street Pedestrian Precinct.

Featuring unique alpine chalets with traditional German fayre, from bratwurst to waffles, gingerbread to candied fruit, this wonderfully festive market includes independent stallholders offering a huge range of unique gifts. Highlights include a ‘Flying Santa’ show, high wire artist Falko Traber will be in a sleigh with his reindeer at a height of 25m and will ‘fly’ over the festival twice a day.

Portsmouth is home to Gunwharf Quays, one of the biggest shopping centres in the South. Here you will be able to complete your Christmas shopping in one fell swoop.

If you’re looking for some traditional, Christmasy atmosphere the Victorian Festival of Christmas can be found at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard on the 25 November – 27 November, here you’ll find Dickensian snowy streets, Christmas gifts and Victorian street performers, this is a ticketed event but includes access to the Dockyard attractions, including the Mary Rose.

Portsmouth’s annual German-stye Christmas market returns to Commercial Road and will run until Christmas Eve, here you’ll find a wealth of stocking fillers and novelty items and if shopping gets the better of you and you need a well earned rest, you can stop for a warming cup of gluwein from the Bavarian-style bar.

Chichester’s North and East Street will be home to it’s Christmas Market from 3 December – 9 December. You’ll find 60 lovely, festive stalls with an enormous variety of crafts and gifts on offer, including individual and unusual ideas that make the perfect presents for family and friends.

There are some beautiful sites to see in this historical City, as well as some of the country’s finest shops, cafes and restaurants, so it’s a perfect way to spend a day at this most marvellous time of the year!
