Battle of Britain Day!15th September 2015
Thanks to the courage of our airmen and ground crew, this was a major turning point in world history.
These young men and women fought for King and our Country and showed an amazing amount of bravery, with many not returning from their missions.
As a country we have been commemorating their amazing achievements this year with various fly-pasts and events. On September 15th we celebrate Battle of Britain Day, with an amazing gathering of the largest collection of Spitfires, Hurricans and the only flying example of the Blenheim, in the world.
You can be part of this amazing spectacle. These historic planes take of from Goodwood in West Sussex, just 35 minutes away from our Mill Rythe Holiday Park and can be seen from the park between 12.08 – 12.28pm. They will split into 10 formations before taking to the sky’s and heading off in different directions around the South East of England. We are fortunate enough to be able to view part of this incredible piece of history from our Isle of Wight Holiday Park at Whitecliff Bay as well at 12.00 – 12.04pm, and we look forward to sharing this amazing display with our guests.
