Through the dark skies, cold nights, fresh breezes and leaves changing there is something about November there remains significant. As we look up we can expect the sky to be illuminated by the vibrant colours of fireworks!
With our facilities and entertainment coming to close Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park still remains open up until New Years! You can use us as a base to escape and snuggle up with your loved ones or venture off park to discover what the Island has to offer during November.
Below we’ve just handpicked some of our favourite events this month.
Sandown Halloween & Fireworks Carnival
From 6pm make your way down to Sandown Pier and enjoy the ultimate family evening outing as you gather around and look up to a stunning and captivating fireworks display. Bursting with entertainment this fantastic event will also have a lantern parade and fire shows plus much more.
The Poppy Train
Join the Isle of Wight Steam Railway for a special day of commemorating the Islanders that gave their lives to the First World War. Expect a day of heart-warming history and educational adventure as you embark the majestic rural areas on your journey.
15th – 16th November
From 10am to 4pm you can enjoy roaring event “Blast from the Past” at the fantastic Dinosaur Isle for FREE! Get your historian hat on and discover the ancient artefacts from the prehistoric era of Isle of Wight, Solent area and beyond. A great day perfect for the whole family with face painting, fossil finding and model making.
Harp on Wight Festival
24th – 30th November
Don’t miss out on the Islands first ever Harp festival and it’s only a short 20 minute drive away! Tune into the harmonious sounds of Harps as the sound gracefully brings a lively atmosphere around Ryde. From talks, classes and concerts to workshops, demonstrations and personally playing a harp this festival will be a superb day out.
