This celebrated local eatery offers lunches and evening meals from 12 noon to 9pm Tuesday to Sunday (closed Monday, except Bank Holiday). You’ll get generous portions, and a wonderful selection of local cuisine, including great seafood.

Murray’s Café Bar

Open daily from 10am to 4pm, Murray’s is great for a lunch or a quick coffee stop. All the food can be eaten in or taken away, and the café is stylish yet homely with a wonderful offering of local ales and Welsh ciders.

Harbour Fish Bar

You know on those days when what you really fancy is just something fast, traditional and very tasty? Harbour Fish Bar is perfect, with its deliciously fluffy and well-cooked fish and crispy chips, all enjoyed to beautiful Barmouth sea views. If you’re looking for other chippies, you could also try the Dolphin or the Mermaid.

The Last Inn

Dating back to the 15th Century, this traditional pub is one of Wales’ oldest. It offers unbeatable pub atmosphere, with many of the original beams still in place, open fireplaces, and a stunning wall mural depicting the history of the harbour. It is a favourite with locals, and regularly gets great reviews for its food.

Min Y Mor Hotel

This is another great traditional inn with stunning views and a lovely beer garden to enjoy in the summer for an after-meal drink. It is a popular destination, so booking ahead is advised.

Tony’s Restaurant

Come to Tony’s for tasty Italian food that has been cooked fresh on the premises since the restaurant’s founding 29 years ago! It is open daily from 6pm to 10pm, and occasionally has live music performances for you to enjoy as well.

A well-frequented local Indian restaurant that is especially praised for its attention to individual dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarians, gluten-free etc). The boss can even tell you about each dish’s history. Watch out for their hottest curry, Jolly’s Revenge, which according to the website will be free of charge if you can endure the spice and finish it all.
