At Tattershall Lakes, we have some very special offers this Christmas time that offer the perfect winter getaway, but you’ll have to book fast because space is very limited! The abundance of watersports usually available at Tattershall may not be there during the winter months, but Tattershall Lakes remains the perfect base from which to explore the wonders of Lincolnshire.

Currently, we have vacancies in our 4- and 5-berth Little Lodges, as well as our 6-berth comfort lodges for those wishing to join us for Christmas week. There are other vacancies for earlier in December for those looking for a pre-Christmas break in lovely rural surroundings. While on the park, you can enjoy the beautiful grounds and comfortable accommodation, but as you know, there is also a great deal more to explore off the park.

Nearby historic Lincoln is transformed into a veritable winter wonderland at Christmas time. There’s the Lincoln Craft Market in Cornhill on December 13th, Santa’s Grotto and Christmas Sing Along at St. Benedicts Square also on December 13th from 9am to 3.30pm, a Christmas Farmer’s Market on December 20th in Castle Square (9am to 4pm) – the list goes on. Another wonderful way to spend an evening is by listening to Christmas carols among the splendour of Lincoln’s ancient cathedral. There are special performances on numerous dates in the run up to Christmas.

Tattershall is also within striking distance of several beautiful castles and stately homes that are open to the public. Stunning Belvoir Castle is unfortunately closed for the season, but other options include nearby Tattershall Castle and Belton House. Tattershall Castle is wonderfully preserved 15th Century red-brick castle that offers six floors of history and heritage. During the winter months it is open at weekends from 11am to 3pm, but the grounds are open from dawn till dusk daily. Belton House sits on 36 acres of superb grounds and gardens to explore. Tours of the house also include a below-stairs tour, where you can see how the servants of the house lived and worked — not unlike those in Downton Abbey!

Don’t miss out on a fantastic Christmas break — book your stay with us at Tattershall Lakes today, and make it a holiday season to remember.
