Here are some of Whitecliff Bay’s most commonly asked questions. If you feel that none of the below answer your questions please use the search bar or alternatively you can contact us and we will get back to you soon as possible.
In line with government advice, we are required to capture the information of everyone that will be visiting park including private sublets. This is to aid the government Test & Trace service, and for your own safety.

Activities can be booked in advance during peak times on our online system (Sandy Balls, Tattershall Lakes and Whitecliff Bay only).
Please be aware, whilst our facilities are open at reduced capacity due to government restrictions, bookable sessions will subsequently operate on a limited capacity to comply with social distancing measures and therefore, availability is not guaranteed.
If you have booked privately at Tattershall Lakes, Sandy Balls or Whitecliff Bay, you can book activities online below. Please use your pitch number and road name as the booking reference.
The Away Resorts App is for exclusive use of Away Resorts guests only.
If you’re staying in Indulgent or Luxury grades your check-in time will be 3pm. All other grades have a check-in time of 4:30pm. These check-in times are subject to change.
Unfortunately at this time, we are unable to allow this to ensure we do not exceed our maximum capacity, as advised by the government.
We are requesting that all payments on park at this current time are contactless.

|Guest Services||✔||At this current time, if you need to speak with a member of the team whilst you're on park, please call us rather than heading to Guest Services. Your team can be contacted on 01983 872671 . Please note our current opening times:

If you do need to pop into Guest Services to see us, then please ensure you are wearing a mask whilst inside, as per government advice.
|Holiday Home Sales||✔||We are open as usual, everyday from 9am - 6pm.|
|Nab Bar & Eatery||✔||We are open, but as with everything at the moment, we’ve had to introduce some changes to ensure everyone’s safety. We do request booking where possible, due to limited capacity and high demand we cannot guarantee tables without a booking. Bookings can be made online or through our app. A £5 per person deposit will be taken at time of booking, which is non-refundable, and will be redeemed from your final bill. Bookings will be held for 15 minutes from your reservation time, after which we will release your table for another guest. Each booking will be allocated a two-hour slot and we may ask you to vacate your table after the allotted time if required. Walk-ins will be accepted however cannot be guaranteed. If you have a booking, and there is a queue, please make your way to the front with your booking confirmation at the ready. At this time, we can only offer table service; so, once you’re seated, sit back, relax and we'll come to you! For your own safety, please ensure there are no more than 2 households (maximum of 6 people) per table at any one time and social distancing guidelines are being adhered to at all times.|
|Nab Bar & Eatery|
|✔||Our takeaway service is available so you can enjoy a pizza and a beer from your holiday home. You can find our menu within your welcome packs or online. Should you wish to order please call us on 01983 874 450 and we will reserve your time slot. Head to the collection point when you arrive. Payment will be taken over the phone so please have your payment card ready.|

|Entertainment||✔||The Culver Club will be hosting entertainment with a difference; live shows streamed from another location, kids entertainment and music, all displayed on the big screen. We will also be hosting character photo spots for the kids to meet Bear, Scratch and Lucy (from a distance of course).
Bingo will be on select evenings at 6pm, please check your entertainment guide. Tickets will be available to purchase in The Culver between 6:00pm-6:20pm.
|Indoor Swimming Pool||✔||All swim sessions are 1-hour and is managed by a band system upon entry. We politely request that you arrive at the pool 'swim-ready' however changing room facilities will be available. Our toilets and showers within the facility will also be open. Social distancing must continue to be adhered to in and around the pool.|
|Outdoor Cinema||✔||Due to the typical cold British weather, our film screenings have moved indoors to the Culver Club. Film showings and timings can be found on your entertainment guide within your welcome pack. For your own safety, please ensure there are no more than 2 households (maximum of 6 people) per table at any one time and social distancing guidelines are being adhered to at all times.|
|The Shop||✔||Our on-site shop remains open, everyday from 8am to 5pm, for you to be able to get hold of all your everyday essentials. As with other shops at the moment, there are precautions in place and we ask you to adhere to these to ensure the safety of yourselves, other holidaymakers, owners and the park team. You will notice a few measures in place which we're sure you are now used to; queue management system, sanitisation station at entrance, limited capacity, social distancing markers on the floor, sneeze screens at tills, contact-less payments only. As per government guidance, we will be asking that all customers in our shop wear a face covering whilst in the shop.|
|Adventure Playground||✔||Our Adventure Playground is open for you and your family to enjoy. However for your own safety, please ensure you are following Government advice around social distancing.|
|The Beach||✔||Access to our beautiful beach is open as usual for you and your family to enjoy. However for your own safety, and to keep in line with Government advice please ensure you abide to the 1m social distancing guidelines in place.|
|Crazy Golf||✔||Please head to the Nab Bar where we will process payment and provide you with your balls and clubs. Please be assured that all clubs and balls are cleaned in between hire by team members wearing correct levels of PPE.|
|Soft Play Area||✔||Our soft play area is open everyday from 10am - 12pm, 12:30pm - 2:30pm and 3pm - 5pm. Frequent sanitisation inbetween opening times is in place a per government guidance and for your safety.|
|Arcade||✔||Our arcade is open for you and your family to enjoy. However for your own safety, please use our sanitising stations available and ensure you are following government advice around social distancing.|
|Beach Cafe||❌||Our Beach cafe is now closed for the remainder of the season. We look forward to re-opening in 2021.|
|Outdoor Swimming Pool||❌||Our outdoor swimming pool is now closed for the remainder of the season. We look forward to re-opening in 2021.|
The beautiful Whitecliff Bay is set across two areas, separated by the road. Wherever you’re pitched, we’re sure that it’ll be the best seaside holiday you’ve ever had! Requests for specific locations can be noted, but are not guaranteed.
We’re able to offer pet friendly units to guests wishing to bring their dogs, and charge from £30 per short break (5 nights and under) and £50 per long break (6 nights or more), per dog. You are also welcome to bring your dog touring & camping, £2 per dog, per night at Tattershall Lakes and Whitecliff Bay.
Up to a maximum of two dogs are allowed per accommodation unit or per caravan and camping pitch. You can find out more about our dog friendly holidays by clicking the link.

Yes you can hire a highchair for £12 during your online booking.
Yes you can hire a travel cot for £15 and add it to your online booking. Please note cot linen is not provided as most parents prefer to bring their own.
This will depend on the accommodation but caravans can usually only fit travel cots in the lounge area. Lodges can fit travel cots in the double bedroom but can be very tight though they can be placed in the twin bedroom but a bed will have to be removed. Please call 0330 053 7000 to find out more about fitting a travel cot in your accommodation type and arranging them to be fitted.
Yes, our facilities are heated and maintained to a high standard.
Yes, our facilities are open 24 hours per day. They are regularly cleaned throughout this period by our team on site who follow strict cleaning guidelines and procedures.
Ferries to the island are run by two companies; Wightlink and Red Funnel – all you need to know can be found directly on their website.
Once you’ve booked a holiday with us our holiday heroes can book your ferry for you AND an option to book a ferry online is also available during your booking process.
Getting to us couldn’t be simpler and if you are pulling a caravan or trailer with a boat or jetski on it the roads are wide and there are no narrow lanes to navigate.
The most frequently asked question we get is “Do we need our passports to get on the ferry?” so we thought we would save you all some time and tell you that in fact, you do not need your passport! This is because the Isle of Wight is actually part of the UK.
Dogs are allowed on both Wight Link and Red Funnel ferries free of charge unless you are travelling on a Hi-speed service where a small charge applies unless they are a guide dog. Please note also that you do not need to book dogs on to the ferry however they do need to be kept on a lead at all times when on board; so please ensure they have had some exercise and been to the toilet before boarding.
Please make sure you are at the port terminal no later than 30 minutes prior to ferry departure, however an hour before is best. This is to ensure you have sufficient time to collect your tickets and get in the queue to board.
Both Wight Link and Red Funnel have a lift to ensure disabled passengers can have a comfortable journey on the ferry.
You are able to have a car or motorhome up to 5.5 metres including 6 people. Or you can bring on board a car and towed vehicle up to 14 metres, or a motorhome up to 9 metres, plus 6 people.
We have WiFi hotspots at Tattershall Lakes, Whitecliff Bay, Mersea Island and Barmouth Bay.
WiFi is limited at Sandy Balls and Mill Rythe where WiFi is only available in the complex (or Village Square at Sandy Balls.)
There is a free WiFi option which offers unlimited data but limited speed which you can connect as many devices as you want to it. Due to the limited speed, this is better used for casual internet browsing, Facebook and Twitter and checking emails. It is not recommended for HD video streaming, video games and downloading of large files.
We also offer a Premium WiFi option (excluding Sandy Balls & Mill Rythe) which boasts higher speeds. The options are:
To connect to the park WiFi, simply log into the Guest Network and following the on-screen prompts to register your device. If any troubles with connecting please check with the park’s reception who will be more than happy to assist.
We’re excited to announce that Sandy Balls, Tattershall Lakes & Whitecliff Bay is still be able to offer activities and entertainment – with a few added precautions of course.
Instead of live performances, The Woodside Suite will be hosting live shows streamed from another location, kids entertainment and music. Not to mention our Outdoor Cinema showing will be running two showings a week too!
Our team have also been trained in hosting activities in a way where we can remain covid-safe and still have plenty of fun – with favourites returning such as target archery, crazy carts and more!
Guests Passes are included in the cost of your holiday when booking directly with us. This provides access to the selected park facilities, entertainment*, experiences and more. We charge for certain activities as we want you to have the very best experience and by paying a little, we can enhance activities a lot!
For those who book with third parties, guest passes can be purchased at the park’s reception. Prices are dependent on duration and time of year:

These prices are for the caravan party, not per person.
There are two ways to book a holiday. You can either book online via our website or alternatively you can call us on 0330 053 7000.
Any day arrivals are NOW available ALL YEAR! Yes, that’s peak dates too. Arrive when you want and leave when you want. All we ask is that you stay for a minimum of 2 nights, but apart from that, you can stay as long or as short as you like.
Along with your accommodation, Guest Passes are all included in the break’s price and provides everyone in your party full use of our on-park facilities and evening entertainment (where available)! Certain activities and services may also carry additional charges. Please note, at this time we cannot guarantee access to all facilities even with passes due to social distancing and safety assurances.

The closest train station is Brading which is about 3 miles from the train station. From there you can find local taxi numbers to take you to the park.
If you’re arriving by bus, you can walk about 12 mins from Ryde Pier Head Rail Station to Ryde Bus Station. From Ryde Bus Station (East-Bound) take Southern Vectis Bus 8 and that will bring you straight to the park.
From Brading, adjacent to Rowborough Cottages take Southern Vectis Bus 8 towards Sandown, Melville Street and get off at Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park. The park is just a 30 second stroll away.
