There’s only one place to be this autumn and that’s Whitecliff Bay. With a huge variety of festivals to visit during your stay you’ll be spoilt for choice on what day to come! If you think festivals are all about music then think again, here on the Isle of Wight there are some great events for you to visit and even take part in.
Festival of the Sea is a nine day sensational event, with a wide range of activities for all to take part in and for the whole family to enjoy. There will be musical events, beach art displays, fishing, cookery displays and food-tasting, opportunities to charter boats, open days, kite festival, talks and even organised cycle rides all which will be a theme about the sea. The event will take place on 14th September to 22nd September.
Or how about keeping fit and enjoying stunning views at your own pace? Get involved with Isle of Wight Cycling Festival on 21st – 29th September and take in some dramatic landscapes upon your journey. Kids as well as adults can enjoy this event by riding side by side each other and taking in this unique and fit experience. Choose your own path weather it’s the hills, coastal or rural there is no time limit to finish.
Now this one isn’t a festival but it’s too good to miss out on the opportunity to go visit. The Classic Car show is an event with a spectacular collection of cars from the UK and mainland Europe. From vintage to classic and retro to custom cars, bikes and other unusual vehicles plus a display of 700 vehicles. The show will be on 14th – 15th September and is absolutely free to go and enjoy.
