For many, autumn is the last time to enjoy time outdoors before the biting winter sets in and confines us to our living rooms! The good news we have for you today is that Barmouth Bay – set in stunning Snowdonia – is the perfect place to get away to this autumn and enjoy some of the brilliant goings on in the local area. Let’s look at what’s on in beautiful Barmouth:

Dolgellau Thursday Markets – November 5th, 12th etc., at the Free Library (behind HSBC)

If you want to have a really “local” experience, then head up to Dolgellau to the regular Thursday market. There are cakes, savouries, preserves, cards, crafts, gifts and more. Could be a good place to start a little light Christmas shopping, especially if you’ve got a lot to buy before December!

Barmouth Fireworks – November 7th (Depending on Weather), Bath House

The time around November 5th is of course one of important and long-standing tradition all over the country. If you’re in Barmouth for the weekend, you can’t miss our local fireworks celebration, which will take place on the beach at Bath House as long as the weather holds.

Live Music from “Climbing Trees” – Ty Siamas, Dolgellau

If you’re a music lover then this is a live music event you won’t want to miss in nearby Dolgellau. More information on the band, Climbing Trees, can be found here. The native Welsh band appeared at the 2014 Sesiwn Fawr, and come from Cardiff and Pontypridd.

Bwtri y Crochan Food and Drink Shop at the Corris Craft Centre, Machynlleth

If you’re not from Wales originally, then you’ll need to find somewhere offering a one-stop taste of Wales experience – Bwtri y Crochan is a fantastic option. There are more than 450 different products either grown, reared or produced in Wales on offer! You’ll find it hard to beat that anywhere else nearby. Visit their website to learn more.

Don’t forget that during the autumn months, Barmouth Bay still has its great facilities open to our guests, so even if you just want to stay on the park and enjoy superb views of the Mawddach Estuary, and bask in the natural glory of Snowdonia, we are here to make sure you have an unforgettable trip. Explore our autumn breaks and book your next weekend trip with us today.
