St Mary's Loch, Selkirk
St Mary's Loch is the ideal location for a relaxing walk and to explore the stunning Yarrow Valley around the Border's biggest natural loch. The loch itself is rich in histroy and at the heart of the historic hunting ground known as Ettrick Forest - where William Wallace and his allies would raid the nearby English settlements. It is a brilliant setting to explore when visiting the nearby area or staying in holiday accommodation closeby.
The Loch is very popular due to its natural beauty, wonderful views and rich history. On a clear day the views are truly breathtaking.
St Mary's Loch is located just 72 miles south of Edinburgh in the Scottish Borders. It can be found via the A708 road between Selkirk and Moffat.
Whilst you wait... just think about being in your swimmers, the sun's out and the smiles are big
