About Filey Beach

The glorious 5-mile stretch of golden sand that is Filey Beach stretches from the rocky peninsula of Filey Brigg to the north down to Bempton, home to an RSPB reserve.  The route consists of plenty of rock pools to explore and splash around in, perfect for the little ones to keep entertained.

With a strong fishing history, Filey is still known for its traditional fishing boats which many visitors can admire from the shore when walking along Filey Beach.

The route is also home to a promenade along the seafront, featuring a number of art works inspired by the local wildlife and heritage. Please note, there are seasonal restrictions on dog-walking in the area between the Royal Parade and the beach slipway. For more information refer to the signage throughout your preferred route.
