About Swanage Railway

Situated in the Isle of Purbeck, the Swanage Railway is the perfect destination for a brilliant family day out in Dorset. 

The attraction is home to full-size steam and diesel passenger trains along the five and a half miles of line from Norden to Corfe Castle and down to the picturesque town of Swanage. Also home to the station shop, stocking souvenirs, railway books, DVDs and a variety of items for model railways including gifts for all ages.

How to get to Swanage Railway

If arriving by car, please use post code BH20 5DW in your sat nav. You can access Swanage and Purbeck via a short ferry journey from Sandbanks which sails across Poole Harbour. Once the ferry has arrived at Studland from the chain ferry road you can travel via car directly to Norden or Swanage to park and access the railway.
