About 5 minutes from park
In total, the Hayling Island seafront stretches for more than three miles along the south of the island, and has everything you need for a wonderful day out with the whole family. Whether you want to have a simple splash and sunbathe or get involved with some fun-filled water sports out on the Solent, this Blue Flag beach is known for the cleanliness of both its shore and water. A charming little spot which has a pleasant village feel despite its popularity among tourists, you can also spot both wildflowers and wildlife such as nesting birds along the grassy dunes which line Hayling Seafront. This a brilliant beach to visit for families on account of the great facilities available. With plenty of parking right along the waterfront, there are a number of pubs and cafes on the beach, as well as many more options set just back from the shore on the other side of Sea Front. There’s also a picnic area, public toilets and a skatepark, while your kids will love a go on the rides at Funland Hayling Island, an amusement park right on the beach.
The beach stretches the full length of Hayling Island’s south coast, so it’s unmissable if you drive along the A3023 after crossing Langstone Bridge from the mainland. You get to there by leaving the A27 at the Havant and Hayling Island roundabout, which isn’t far from the A3(M). If you prefer to catch a train to the area, you can get as far as Havant Station, which is served by a good number of Southern services. From here you can catch the number 30 or 31 bus all the way to the Beachlands bus station, which is only steps from the waterfront opposite the Funland theme park.
Whilst you wait... just think about being in your swimmers, the sun's out and the smiles are big
