All the festive feels are coming to the New Forest with magical illuminations and decorations set within our ancient woodland. Wander through thousands of twinkling lights in the heart of Sandy Balls accompanied by an enchanting musical soundscape. Gaze up at towering oak trees wrapped in sparkling colour, encounter charming statues and watch animations dance around our Forest of Light Christmas tree, look out also for flurries of snowfall. Feel the magic in the forest together this winter.
What exciting things to expect...
Twinkling lights every night
Watch the centre of Sandy Balls come to life every night with magical illuminations and decorations set within ancient woodland. Wander through thousands of twinkling lights accompanied by an enchanting musical landscape.
Forest of Light is on every day between 4pm to 9pm and can be enjoyed as often as you like.
A Magical Meeting
Your little ones are invited to become an Honorary Elf! Build a toy with Santa’s chief toymaker, bake and decorate your own gingerbread man and meet the big man himself, with each child receiving a magical gift!
Singalong-a-jingle
Gather the family and join us for festive sing-along favourites around our Forest of Light Christmas tree. We count down to the illuminations switch-on for that night, lighting the way for Father Christmas to arrive and sing with us.
A heartwarming Christmas tradition for all ages.
Every Wednesday and Saturday at 4pm. Wrap up nice and cosy, event time approx. 15mins.
Breakfast with Santa
Santa and his chief toymaker take a morning off from their Christmas preparations with a stop at Aubrey's Forest Kitchen for a delicious breakfast - and you're invited to join them!

If you’re thinking of heading to our festive forest between 22nd December – 1st January, you won’t be short of things to get stuck into! Forest of Light continues, with added Christmas dinners and New Year’s parties, to create a truly magical experience that gets into the heart of the holiday season.
