Mill Rythe Coastal Village FAQs

Your Frequently Asked Questions

Please note, building work for our new developments will be taking place during your stay if you book a break from mid-October 2021 onwards.

Why did we change Mill Rythe to a self-catered proposition?

The demand for a self-catered proposition was greater than ever, customers were looking for more flexible holiday experiences both on park and in the surrounding areas. Combining this in a world where we are all living with COVID-19, we also had to seriously consider the reopening of Mill Rythe, putting the safety of our customers first. From this, we determined with great sadness that we were unable to provide the Mill Rythe holiday experience for the foreseeable future.

As a new self-catered provider at Mill Rythe we want to be aligned to the rest of parks within Away Resorts.

Will you still have accommodation for adults and couples?

Our accommodation is suitable for most party sizes sleeping up to 6 or 8 people. The cost of the holiday remains the same, no matter how many occupy the accommodation.

If you are a previous Mill Rythe customer, this is different to what you are used too.

Will you still be doing themed breaks?

We will continue to offer excellent entertainment as we do on all our parks and there is always the option to have themed breaks.  More details about the programme of events will follow as soon as we have firm plans and come to life over the next 18 months.

Will you still offer half board options?

We will be keeping our restaurant, but this will be a choice now if you would like food included on a half board offering or stay on a self-catered basis. Please note, it will not be a buffet style operation as you will know it at Mill Rythe.

Will dogs be allowed?

Of course, don’t leave your four-legged friend at home!

Will any of the team that were there be back?

We are working through team structures and will know more as we move forward but we’d love to think some of the original team may be with us as we move forward.

Will you still take groups?

Yes, we will still take Groups, at the right times throughout the year, these will however be in the self-catered accommodation.

What will it be like?

We are so excited to announce the £10m re-development of Mill Rythe, our Hayling Island gem on the south coast. Set alongside a peaceful estuary, in an attractive environment of luxury accommodation, beautiful facilities, and friendly staff, it’s perfect for adults and families, who can make use of the swimming pool, dine in the amazing NEW ‘Missing Squirrel Lounge Bar’ or explore the surrounding outside areas of the park.

Expect some very special holiday homes including hot tubs, beautifully landscaped areas, double parking spaces and WIFI!

To match the stunning environment, entertainment will be beautifully crafted and delivered by our talented team. Think outdoor cinema, acoustic vibes over a cocktail in our bar, and in peak-times some street theatre style performances! For the kid’s there will be PLAY activities, water-based fun, bike hire and maybe even some segway’s! All of this, on a roadmap over the next 18 months to become the best coastal village on the Island.

When can I make a booking?

For the first phase of our development, you can now make your booking for Easter onwards. And whilst you will be able to enjoy a break, use the swimming pool, our beautiful new Lounge Bar and explore the local area, please note there will still be ongoing work on the park to continue with phase 2. This work will have minimal disruption to your stay.

Can we own a holiday home at Mill Rythe now?

You absolutely can!
Between now and next spring, we will be working hard to develop around 50 pitch locations, from which ownership will be available. But these are not just pitches. Expect some very special holiday homes that no one else offers including hot tubs, keyless entry, beautifully landscaped areas, double parking spaces and WIFI!
