"We only recently purchased our holiday home at the Newperran Resort — last November. We have been running a busy community pub in Cornwall for four and a half years and live above it in an apartment. This can be frustrating during our time off, as we are constantly being disturbed by phone calls and unnecessary visitors, so we often stayed away at various B&Bs.
Unfortunately, one of us became suddenly and seriously ill last summer, which resulted in major surgery and a complete lifestyle change. This made it very awkward to stay in hotels or guesthouses. That was one of the main reasons we purchased our own little getaway — but we also wanted something that the whole family could enjoy. It’s such a relief to walk through the door of our little retreat — the weight and worries instantly disappear, and we immediately relax.
Newperran is such a relaxing, friendly site with wonderful amenities and always approachable, helpful staff. The swimming pool is amazing, and our grandchildren are making full use of it regularly.
We’ve already had friends over for a night of fun and laughter. We’ve also visited another Away Resorts location and sampled their facilities, which we think is a fantastic bonus of ownership.
Our only regret is that we didn’t do this sooner! "

"We love our holiday home for all the usual reasons - the chance to escape to the tranquillity and natural beauty of East Mersea. But for us, there's a much deeper reason behind it.
Our true inspiration is our three-legged Border Terrier, Rupert. Born on 27th November 2020, little Rupert has completely changed our lives. He had a difficult start and faced many challenges, but his spirit never wavered. When we first brought him to Mersea - staying at a friend’s caravan - he discovered the sea, and something remarkable happened. It transformed him. He came alive, full of joy, love, and fun. His zest for life inspired us so much that we decided to buy our own holiday home here - and we’ve never looked back.
If you’ve been around the resort, you’ve probably seen Rupert - he's the little dog in the buggy, full of character and always with plenty to say on his adventures!"

We've been owners at Tattershall Lakes for nearly two years now, and for us, it’s been truly life-changing. We have a beautiful lakeside lodge with a fishing peg and a hot tub - every time we're there, we feel completely at peace.
There’s so much for both us and our children to enjoy. The kids love playing on the park and spending time in the hot tub, while we enjoy relaxing and going for scenic walks. The local area is also stunning, with plenty to see and do nearby.
Our family have visited us several times and loved it so much that they’ve now purchased holiday homes here too! My parents bought a lakeside lodge, and my siblings have also become owners on the park.
We’re looking forward to many more happy years as part of the Tattershall Lakes community.
We purchased our pre-loved holiday home in August 2024. We had been looking for a while, but were won over by Mill Rythe due to its location and the fact that it is a developing site.
Before we purchased, we were supported by the Sales Team, shown around the site, and given a clear explanation of how ownership works. We settled in with the help of the Sales Team and started to get to know the people around the site. Paul, the General Manager, and Debbie, our dedicated Owner Experience Manager, have been extremely helpful throughout our journey. When we decided to sublet through Away Resorts, we met Emma, who explained how subletting works and gave us the confidence to give it a try.
We have been subletting with Away Resorts since September 2024, and this has covered all the running costs of our holiday home while still allowing us plenty of time to use it as a family. We’ve been enjoying our holiday home as much as possible. With two dogs, it’s ideal — the site is dog-friendly and gives us complete flexibility in when we choose to visit.
Owning a holiday home is a long-term lifestyle choice, offering opportunities for all the family and friends to enjoy whenever they can.
