timmy-malletWhy should you come down to Hayling Island this August Bank Holiday? Well, aside from the fantastic facilities at Mill Rythe Holiday Village, and the amazing amount of natural beauty and family fun to be had on the island, we are also hosting a very special event at Mill Rythe that we know you won’t want to miss out on.

The BIG Weekend is happening at Mill Rythe, starting on Friday, August 29. It’s an 80s Rewind, and we are offering an amazing 3-night break for the tidy sum of just £159 for adults, £79 for kids aged 8-15 and £39 for kids aged 2-7. As usual, the under 2s come for free. We have big names of the 80s coming to this event, and it promises to be a cracking, aisle-rolling side splittingly funny time for everyone. We will be joined by TV legends Canon and Ball, Timmy Mallet, and none other than Zippy and George from the classic show Rainbow. Many kids of today may not remember them as the adults do, but their appeal remains strong and their acts timeless. It’s not far away, so if you’re interested in joining us for this amazing weekend, you’ll have to book soon! Space is already extremely limited.

audley-harrisonIf the end of August is a little short notice, then how about joining us a little later in the year for some appearances from the face of British Soul music? On October 3rd, the stage at Mill Rythe will be graced by star of the BBC’s “Fame Academy” series 2, Audley Anderson. Since being on the show, Audley has gone on to have a great career in Soul music, and on October 3rd he is giving a special show with us as part of a special evening celebrating the greatness of Soul.

As if Audley Anderson wasn’t enough, the Sunday of the same weekend (October 5th) brings two more British Soul greats to Mill Rythe. First of all, we have The Real Thing, Liverpool-born Soul group who enjoyed massive success in the 1970s, and were credited for helping restore Liverpool’s reputation as a great center of music. Finally, but by no means least, we are joined by British Soul Diva Jaki Graham, whose cover of Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody” reached the number one spot in the US and won her international acclaim.
