Mill Rythe is going to be undergoing an exciting and substantial £12m redevelopment, which secures a long-term future for Mill Rythe Holiday Village. We are reacting to changing consumer demands as customers are looking for more flexible holiday experiences both on park and in the surrounding areas. As we are predominately a self-catered provider we want to be aligned to the rest of the Away Resorts parks.
The redevelopment will begin in July 2021, with our doors temporarily closing on Friday 9th July 2021.
Easter 2022. We will of course be communicating the progress along the way.
No, business is as usual. We will still be offering all of our fantastic themed breaks until July 2021 and you can continue to expect the highest standards you do now, until then.
We will be open for Christmas 2020 and our intention is to be open all year round from 2022 onwards.
We will move to a self-catered proposition with the introduction of in the region of 200 modern, high-quality caravans and lodges for all family sizes; including couples. We are still finalising plans, but we will be communicating the progress along the way.
We will continue to offer excellent entertainment as we do on all our parks and there is always the option to have themed breaks. More details will follow in 2021.
We want to cater for all family types and more information will follow in 2021.
Our on-site restaurant will remain however holidaymakers will now have the choice of booking their break on a self-catered or half board basis.
We are determined to keep up the highest standards you have become used to right up until we close. To make sure we close in style we will be running a number of “The Very Best of Mill Rythe” breaks in the first half of 2021. Book early as it will be popular!
Great news, yes dogs will be welcome and further information on this will follow in 2021.
Coach parties will still be welcome if the new style of accommodation and food offering suits, alternatively you can book directly with us.
Breaks will be priced in line with our other parks, so discounts and offers will be available from time to time.
We have shared the exciting news with our team and there will be new opportunities for personal development for many of the team. We will still need people in all of the existing departments, and we are committed to supporting them through this change.
Yes, we will still have our restaurant and it will offer a menu suited to the needs of both half board and self-catered guests, similar to our other parks.
The central facilities will remain, including our Ballroom, restaurant, swimming pool and Guest Services. We will of course be communicating our progress along the way.
We will be introducing in the region of 200 modern, high-quality caravans and lodges, giving great flexibility on size and capacity.
Yes, we will still take group bookings.
Yes, there will be – all Away Resorts parks offer accessible accommodation.

Yes you can hire a travel cot for £15 and add it to your online booking. Please note cot linen is not provided as most parents prefer to bring their own.
Currently there are 7 shows and 1 pantomime – Typically you will see 2 shows on a break.
There is a bus stop at the end of the driveway which can take you around the Island or further afield, they run every 30 mins Mon-Sat and hourly on Sundays.
Everything you need to make your stay comfortable; all Bedding, tea and coffee making facilities, heating, hot water, en suite bathrooms, and flat screen freeview TV.
All you need to bring are your clothes and yourself… let the good-times roll!
Half Board: Breakfast and Dinner included

Mill Rythe is the only park which offers a half board and full board package included in the booking.
Whitecliff Bay and Tattershall Lakes do have a half board option which you can pay as an extra to your booking. Either at check-out online or by calling us on 01442 508850.
All our Guest Services are open from 9am – 6pm.
In the winter periods the hours reduce from 9am – 5pm
Mill Rythe by Away Resorts is open from 9am – 7pm every day.
Entertainment can vary by park and date. Sandy Balls, Tattershall Lakes, Mill Rythe and Whitecliff Bay offers evening entertainment for most of the year. You can view the entertainment by park by clicking on the park links. Mersea Island offers limited entertainment with weekend cabaret acts. Barmouth Bay currently does not offer evening entertainment but does have a nearby entertainment complex at the entrance of the park.
A full entertainment guide will be provided on arrival at the selected parks.
The park is open until the end of December for its New Year Special Celebration and re-opens on January 11th 2019.

Bike hire is available directly on park for Sandy Balls, Mill Rythe and Tattershall Lakes only.
However, Barmouth Bay and Whitecliff Bay have bike hire facilities nearby. Please pop in to the Guest Services, they would be more than happy to help you arrange this.
The closest train station is Havant which is about 4 miles from the train station. From there you can find local taxi numbers to take you to Mill Rythe.
Activities can be booked in advance during peak times on our new online system (Sandy Balls, Mill Rythe, Tattershall Lakes and Whitecliff Bay only). Or alternatively can be booked on the day of your arrival up to an hour before the activity at Guest Services for Barmouth Bay (Summer holidays only), Whitecliff Bay and Mill Rythe or the Sports, Leisure centre for Tattershall Lakes and the Forest Hub for Sandy Balls. Please note activities do get booked up quickly during busy periods, so please book as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.
