About Cornish Seal Sanctuary

The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is a rescue company/attraction, for injured and stranded seals and other sea life. Mostly funded through donations and fundraising, the sanctuary is a Visitor Attraction, based in Gweek, just outside Helston, on the Lizard Peninsular. The sanctuary offers recovery and rescue to those seals who need it. With a long term plan of nursing them back to good health, signing them off, with a view to releasing them back into the sea, as soon as possible. The Visitor Centre offers feeding sessions and experiences, to the whole family. Like Paradise Park, the sanctuary covers a small area of land, making an ideal visit for a few hours.

How to get to Cornish Seal Sanctuary

When you arrive by car at Helston, head for R.N.A.S. Culdrose on A3083 (signposted Lizard), drive along this road to the roundabout. Turn left at the roundabout (signposted St Keverne). About ½ mile along on the B3293 road, turn left and follow the signpost to Gweek. When you arrive in Gweek village, turn right just before the "Black Swan" pub and follow the signs to Seal Sanctuary.
