One of the easy ways to cheat the effects of the cold snap is to spend a little time enjoying indoor attractions in North Wales. For example, as a reminder, music lovers visiting North Wales can’t afford to miss the North Wales Choral Festival, which runs from November 7th to 9th. Wales is known historically as a center for beautiful close-harmony singing. This festival is celebrated as one of the largest choral festivals in Wales, and each year attracts thousands of people from all over Europe. It is being held in Venue Cymru in Llandudno, Conwy, and offers choirs the opportunity to compete for cash prizes. It also runs workshops and special evening concerts featuring popular acts from the singing scene. If you want to enjoy a delicious carvery dinner, you can also book a table in the restaurant at Venue Cymru.

You can’t have failed to notice that Christmas is right around the corner, and luckily for you, North Wales has the answer to your Christmas shopping needs – the Christ Church Christmas Market in the village of Bala (Y Bala in Welsh), being held on November 11th from 4 to 10pm. Located just 17 miles northeast of Dolgellau, the market brings craft and produce stalls from all over North Wales, as well as a raffle, tombola, music, games and a Santa’s postbox where children can write letters to Santa to make their Christmas wishes. Bala is also home to Wales’ largest natural lake, Bala Lake, which is a beautiful spot to enjoy the local natural splendour.

If you can’t make it to the Christmas Market, then you can always catch the local farmers market at the Bayview Shopping Centre, right in the centre of Colwyn Bay. It runs every Thursday from 9am to 1pm showing off the finest local produce.

Finally, if you’re looking for something with a little more of a thrill and spill, then how about attending the Wales Rally GB, 2014. It takes place this year from November 13th to 16th. Last year’s event was viewed by around 600 million people worldwide, and this is the second year the event has been held in North Wales, starting at the Eirias Stadium in Colwyn Bay. The landscape offers a challenging and attractive event for participants and spectators alike. These are just some of the wonderful offerings on offer in North Wales this November – come and explore!
