Mersea Island
The local area of Mersea Island and Essex is always bustling with brilliant events both local and within reasonable driving distance.
And with Colchester, Southend and Clacton-on-Sea not far away, Mersea Island is the great base for big events and festivals happening in the surrounding area this year.
1st September
There will be a large display of classic American and custom vehicles, live music and dance, Best in Class Trophies, family entertainment, as well as food and craft stalls and miniature steam train rides. The museum, Steam Pump Tea Room and Astaria model village will be open.
7th September
Come along to Colchester town centre and meet your heroes, including characters from Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Superhero Movies, Videogames and more!
Get dressed up, join in the fun, take some great photos and help us support some amazing local causes!
1st December
Head down and meet Santa in his Grotto, enjoy a miniature steam train ride, meander through our Christmas stalls and join in with fun entertainment and children’s rides. Seasonal refreshments also available.
