Away Resorts launches search for the ‘UK’s most loveable scruffy dog’ - Here’s how sharing a photo of your dog looking as ‘un-crufts’ as possible could win you a free stay on us…

As Crufts gets underway, we’re launching our own competition that any dog can enter. The twist? We’re looking for a dog on the scruffier end of the spectrum to become our ‘Scruff of the Year’.
Because while we love to admire the preened and poised pooches taking part in the world’s largest international dog show, as the UK’s most dog friendly holiday park operator we think it's important to champion all dogs, in fact, the scruffier, wilder and more ‘un-crufts’ the better!
Whether they’re constantly rolling in mud, a bit on the cheeky side or just always look a bit disheveled despite our best efforts, we’re calling for dog owners to submit photos of their perfectly imperfect pups - for a chance to win a staycation with Away Resorts.
Here’s how to enter:

Share a photo of your scruffy dog on Instagram or Facebook and tag @awayresortsholidays

Your entry will go to the Away Resorts Pup Panel for judging

Some tips on entering:

Any dog can enter, but the aim is for them to look 'un-crufts'. Whether that's muddy and scruffy, wet and bedraggled, a little dishevelled post-nap or even mid zoomies!

We're looking for photos that showcase 'perfectly imperfect' pooches, so it's fine for them to not be looking their best or tidiest, in fact, it's encouraged

“Dogs are often happiest when they are dirty because it taps into their natural instincts, offering sensory pleasure and acting as a form of self-expression. So we wanted to do something for the dogs at the scruffier end of the spectrum, by rewarding the UK’s most perfectly imperfect pooches, just for being themselves.
“Beyond the competition, we’re on a wider mission to create the UK’s most dog friendly holiday parks. All our accommodation options are fully geared up and some even have their own dog showers. We also have a delicious dog menu available and a pawgramme of activities they can get involved in”.
