Countryside Lincs – Are you Going?16th February 2016
As you know, Tattershall Lakes Country Park is located right in the heart of rural Lincolnshire. It’s a fact we celebrate every day of every year. There is another celebration of Lincolnshire heritage happening in April of this year, however, that may well rival that of our own, and will definitely be worth a visit – Countryside Lincs, a special show happening on Sunday, April 10th from 10:00am to 4:00pm at the Lincolnshire Showground.
Tickets go on sale in February, and it’s shaping up to be an absolutely fantastic event centered on food, farming and the countryside. While there, you and your family will be able to meet producers, craftsmen and local farmers, all dying to share their trade with you. The kids will enjoy seeing all the animals, as well as exploring the six kids “zones” that are set up, which include falconry displays, meeting farmyard animals, learning how to make sausages and more. The whole point is to get people engaged and give them a better understanding of the rural activities upon which the economy and social life of the county has historically been based.
To make the whole experience a little more educational for kids, the organizers have arranged for some special workshops entitled “Let’s Talk Farming.” These will see kids learn about things like dairy production and the egg hatching process. It’s essentially a fantastic lesson on where our food comes from! So, if you and your family are getting tired of urban life and need a little break from it, Countryside Lincs is the event for you. Given that it’s happening during the Easter Holidays, there is even an Easter Egg hunt planned!
Why not make your trip to Countryside Lincs into a proper mini-break for your family? Our park facilities will be fully re-opened in March, and you’ll be able to enjoy all the facilities on offer!
