Dog-Friendly Holidays in Lincolnshire16th April 2015
They are commonly known as “man’s best friend,” but for many people across the world nowadays, they are so much more than that — our dogs are part of the family. With that, it’s quite understandable that a lot of people wish to take Fido on holiday with them wherever they go. This, however, is not always possible, as many places still have a number of restrictions on dogs. Fortunately, Tattershall Lakes is not one of those places, and there are many more places in Lincolnshire that are dog friendly.
With the weather improving week on week, a day out at the beach is a great way for the whole family (including Rex) to enjoy themselves. Lincolnshire is home to some fantastic beaches and seaside towns, and arguably the foremost of which is Skegness. This large beach is a great choice, but do note that there may be some areas where dog restrictions do apply at certain times of year. Moggs Eye Beach is a very dog-friendly place, as is Cleethorpes, both of which are touted as among the best choices for families with dogs.
But you don’t have to journey to Lincolnshire’s seaside to find interesting places that the dogs can come along to. Just 16 miles north of Boston lies Bolingbroke Castle, which are the remains of a 13th Century hexagonal castle with rich Civil War history. Another great choice is Gainsthorpe Medieval Village, which according to legend was destroyed as a den of thieves centuries ago.
At Tattershall Lakes, you can bring up to two dogs with you to stay in your accommodation (Value accommodation), provided they are not one of the breeds indicated in the Dangerous Dog Act of 1991. We also ask that dogs are kept on leads and under close control so that they won’t cause any trouble for others on the park. So, don’t leave the pooch behind when you next come and stay with us? Bring them along and share a true family holiday experience. Browse our website now and find the latest upcoming deals at Tattershall Lakes.
