Family Easter Breaks at Tattershall Lakes1st April 2015
The Easter Holidays are here at last! It’s likely by now that you have managed to think of ideas to keep the kids busy, but there are always those gaps here and there. The holidays still have another long week ahead, and a quick getaway to rural Lincolnshire could be just what your family needs! We have some great deals on accommodation, and there are also some wonderful things going on.
Nothing will get your kids more ready to go back to school than a thrilling few days of waterskiing, wakeboarding, jet skiing, swimming, fishing and more. If you don’t have time during the Easter holidays, then maybe now is still a good time to get your summer holiday lined up.
Off the park, there’s a lot going on in the nearby historical and cultural hub of Lincoln. You and the kids will love exploring the magnificent Lincoln Castle, which has just celebrated its grand re-opening. This place brings history to life, and doesn’t confine the experience to stuffy exhibition rooms and glass cabinets. Kids of all ages can enjoy hands-on medieval fun and games, as well as interactive family shows of Robin Hood. There’s an assault course to have a go at, and much more.
If you’re staying with us with older kids who can appreciate a bit of creativity and art, then you could also take them to the Lincoln Craft Market, which will be on April 11th. Stunning handmade ornaments, jewellery and pottery can be found — perfect to take back as gifts for friends and classmates! Even if you don’t make it on April 11th, the craft market is usually held on the second and fourth Saturday of each month between March and December, so you can always catch it another time!
Two full weeks is a challenging period to keep your kids occupied at home. You might think of a thousand things for them to do, but sometimes what you really need is a change of scenery, even if it’s only for a few days. Why not bring the family down to Tattershall Lakes this holiday? Find current Easter deals on offer or look further ahead in the summer and autumn. We look forward to seeing you soon!
