Here’s how to get ready to go camping with your dog:

  • Practice makes perfect: Do a test night in the garden or living room with your camping gear.

  • Brush up on the recall: Especially if your dog will be off-lead at times.

Campsite and holiday park etiquette for dog owners

We all want a lovely, relaxing holiday, so here’s how to be the best-behaved guest with a waggy companion:

  • Lead the way - keep your dog on a lead in communal areas.

  • Scoop the poop - always clean up after your dog and bin it.

  • Quiet nights - try to keep barking to a minimum after dark.

  • Be neighbourly - not everyone is a dog lover (we know, shocking), so be respectful.

  • Never leave dogs alone - dogs are not to be left in accommodation unattended for any reason.

Bonus tip: We have designated dog-walking areas at many of our sites, so check with reception on arrival.

On-site facilities for dogs

At Away Resorts, we’re dog daft. That’s why many of our dog-friendly holiday parks include:

Pet-friendly accommodation

Camping pitches might be your first priority, but you can also choose from a variety of accommodation types, including dog-friendly lodges and caravans at our holiday parks. If that sounds tempting, you’ll find comfortable pet beds, pet-safe kitchen areas, and enclosed gardens at selected sites.

Dog-friendly outdoor spaces

Dogs love having a place to run around safely, and our parks are designed to give them just that! Relax while your dog explores our designated dog walking areas, perfect for stretching those paws. We’ve even got fenced areas for dogs that like their own space.

Dog-friendly dining and bars

We know that pets are family, so at certain parks, you can dine with your dog in outdoor seating areas or go indoors and visit our dog-friendly bars and cafés. Why not treat your pup to some doggy ice cream while you enjoy a cold drink and a bite to eat?

Doggy menu

Our special doggy menu* is available in 21 of our venues across our Away Resorts parks. Indulge your furry friend with a delicious holiday treat as you savour your own meal.
