Picture 1With commanding south-facing views of beautiful Whitecliff Bay, our camping ground is the perfect choice for a UK camping break this summer and beyond. If you’re thinking about taking the family out on a touring or camping break this September, then we have lots of amazing deals for you to choose from.

From September 1st, we are offering 7- and 14-night stays as part of our Touring and Camping Specials. Check our camping page for more information on these amazing rates, which also include the ferry from either Portsmouth or Lymington. The Isle of Wight continues to enjoy pleasant weather in September, as indeed it does most of the year. So, our fantastic camping offers are truly great value for money.

Camping is about getting a bit closer to nature, and enjoying natural beauty that surrounds you, and if you’re in the Isle of Wight, then natural beauty comes in spades. Around half of the island has been awarded status of Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) by Natural England. This status protects its cliffs, mud flats, salt marsh, creeks and every other ingredient mother nature threw in to make this island the jewel in the English Channel.

In keeping with the theme of a break celebrating natural beauty, then a must-see is Tennyson Down in Freshwater. This 3-mile long ridge is named for Alfred Tennyson, one of England’s most celebrated poets, who said that the air there was worth “sixpence a pint.” Walking along the ridge gives one unbeatable views over the exhilarating cliff drops while winding down towards the equally breathtaking sight of The Needles.

Another walk not to miss is the Shanklin to Ventnor Coastal Walk, consistently rated by holiday-goers as one of the finest walks on the island. The whole thing takes about 2 hours to complete, and passes over a variety of terrain including seaside beach, forested ground and more. Look out for the famous jam stall along the way! If you’re feeling really rebellious, you could even take one of the excellent local buses down to Ventnor, and do the whole thing the other way round!

Whatever you decide to do, when returning to Whitecliff Bay, our Holiday Heroes will be ready to greet you, and your perfect pitch will be ready to give you a good night’s rest to feel fresh and energized by morning. Come and see for yourselves everything that this amazing island has to offer.
