A brilliant way to spend your time at Whitecliff Bay is by visiting any of the upcoming family friendly Festivals during your stay. A fab way to keep you on your toes and full of excitement, this will be one of those events you wish you could stay at for more than a day!

Ventor Fringe Festival: 14th – 17th August
Explore your creative and artistic side by going to a festival with a unique experience. Fringe is an inspiring collaboration between artists, promoters, venues, members of the public who come together to create a truly exceptional festival. Full of a blend of amazing different talents from actors to comedians, to visual arts, film hosts and music you wouldn’t want to miss out on creating a memory here.

5244145134_1e94b6eab2_mV-Dub Festival: 15th – 19th August
This festival is a little different; you get to experience an extensive collection of the vintage era – classic Volkswagen beetles, jeeps, and camper vans. The sight is even lovelier with the event being set in the beautiful countryside of Isle of Wight, boasting some of the most spectacular views of the Island. Although this is an event for those all fanatical about the retro vehicles, it is also very much enjoyable for the whole family. During the event there will be live music from great bands on a large stage and an auto jumble which is a chance for you to trade and sell VW parts, best dressed pet competition, cooking in a camper competition, V-Dub Island drive out, Run to Surf (you can look on as you watch the surfers compete) and show and shine competition. Lot’s going on to keep you busy and entertained.

National Scooter Rally: 24th – 27th August

scooterWelcome to the world’s biggest social gathering of vintage and modern scooters as they collate together for your enjoyment. The event will have a custom show, retro scooter clothing, accessories, and a ride out from Planet Ice Ryde. Not only that, how about dancing and bopping along to the live DJ they have playing throughout the day and night. Feel a part of the tradition and head down to the event, cheer and support all the fellow ‘scooterisits’ while you eat delicious food and snacks on the various stalls.
