Are the pools heated?
Yes, properly heated! Our indoor pools maintain comfortable temperatures year-round, and outdoor pools get heating treatment during peak season.Â
Do I need to book swimming slots in advance?
You can book swimming slots via the Away Resorts app, something we recommend you do, especially during busier periods. Some slots may become available throughout your stay, so make sure to keep checking the app.
When do the outdoor pools open?
Season and weather dependent: usually late spring/early summer. Check with guest services because British weather loves to keep us guessing.Â
Are there lifeguards at the pools?
Some pools have lifeguards, some don't: it depends on the park. Children over 8 who are component swimmers (can swim unaided 25m or more) can use the pool independently, provided there is a lifeguard present. For parks where the pool is not lifeguarded, one responsible person must supervise a maximum of three children aged 8-15 years old.Â
What if my kids can’t swim properly yet?
Most pools have shallow areas perfect for non-swimmers and nervous paddlers. We also have family changing areas where you can keep an eye on everyone.
Are there any hidden charges for pool access?
Nope! Pool access is included with your accommodation booking. No surprise fees, no daily charges: just book your holiday and splash away.Â
